João Carlos Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Jeremias Moreno came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo. But to his dismay, Gernando Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Cesar Quinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Carlos Lucas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesar Quinto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Jeremias Moreno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Carlos Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Quinto in the 29th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Azevedo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremias Moreno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Åhman in the 95th minute of play.

The ADM Taquaras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ADM Taquaras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
