After some careless play in the PATO BRANCO FC defense, Mo Yi Sang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duarte de Barros. The PATO BRANCO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duarte de Barros should have stopped the shot. In the 11th match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Wallman to maneuver through the defense. Martin Lleir kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Matias Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukáš Modrić, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Matias Carlomagno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lukáš Modrić went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to PATO BRANCO FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Oséas Recife hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, PATO BRANCO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mo Yi Sang came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Jan Wallman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Mo Yi Sang notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of PATO BRANCO FC's Duarte de Barros. Duarte de Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half San Lorenzo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukáš Modrić made a kick off. With a little luck, PATO BRANCO FC's Duarte de Barros got control of the ball when Mo Yi Sang tried to sneak it across the goal line. San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Peio in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukáš Modrić in the 63rd minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Matias Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when PATO BRANCO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Gomez Blanco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd match minute, PATO BRANCO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Gomez Blanco to maneuver through the defense. Mo Yi Sang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte de Barros having to interfere. After 78 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Mo Yi Sang. After 80 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Martin Lleir. Matias Carlomagno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukáš Modrić in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Faustão Alagoano made a precise shot to the right of Matias Carlomagno. San Lorenzo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Matias Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Peio in the 89th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
