In the 4th minute, Gualter Sampaio made a precise shot to the right of Victorino Gaufred. Piratas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 10th minute, Joaquin Xacintu made a precise shot to the right of Victorino Gaufred. Piratas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 14 minutes into the game, Erasmo Simão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Victorino Gaufred was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Simão in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorino Gaufred prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's Amadeu de Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victorino Gaufred narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Erasmo Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute Joaquin Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Grentino FC's Erasmo Simão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorino Gaufred made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 34 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Simão came free, but Victorino Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes Piratas FC got a freekick which was hit by Damian Precioso. After a rather tough play, Grentino FC's Fedor Delafosse got a free kick in the 38th minute. Victorino Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Simão in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Simão came free, but Victorino Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Xacintu in the 43rd minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Victorino Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erasmo Simão to strike the kick off in the second half. Victorino Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Simão in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Piratas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bo Edström was slow to take the kick. During this time Grentino FC's players had a chance to rest. After 57 played minutes Grentino FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Xacintu. Amadeo Francesco hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Grentino FC's Erasmo Simão in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piratas FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 63rd minute, Piratas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gualter Sampaio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 66th minute, Erasmo Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Falcão Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Francesco in the 69th minute of the match. Victorino Gaufred made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquin Xacintu in the 74th minute. If Gualter Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erasmo Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Victorino Gaufred tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute Erasmo Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erasmo Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Victorino Gaufred had great luck who in the 95thth minute grab hold of the ball when Erasmo Simão from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Grentino FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
