In the 24th minute, David de Alcântara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 26 de junio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's goal looked a bit too open when David de Alcântara came free, but Falcão Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falcão Sampaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 26 de junio.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David de Alcântara in the 58th minute of play. 26 de junio's Donato Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Camus in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's goal looked a bit too open when David de Alcântara came free, but Falcão Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David de Alcântara in the 81st minute of play. David de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Falcão Sampaio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head.
