The audience thought a goal was coming when Lei Feng Yan got free with Alfredo Teles in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geovani Medeiros scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Teles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute, Lei Feng Yan made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Teles. C.R Perhaps's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 10 minutes, Rubens Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.R Perhaps's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubens Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. C.R Perhaps's Alfredo Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Vergílio in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredo Teles. Alfredo Teles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 20th minute, Lei Feng Yan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Breno Vergílio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfredo Teles. Breno Vergílio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Breno Vergílio took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Alfredo Teles to make any attempt to save it. After 31 minutes of play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Daniel Owsiak made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfredo Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Alfredo Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 35th minute of play. With an all-out effort, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Alfredo Teles threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Breno Vergílio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 38 minutes into the match, Geovani Medeiros notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of C.R Perhaps's Alfredo Teles. Alfredo Teles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute Geovani Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. C.R Perhaps's Alfredo Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lei Feng Yan in the 55th minute of play. Alfredo Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Geovani Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Teles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geovani Medeiros went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. After 70 minutes of play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Daniel Owsiak made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfredo Teles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Breno Vergílio went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 13-0 was the resulting score. 77 minutes into the match, Lucio Siekkötter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Teles. C.R Perhaps's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucio Siekkötter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. In the 79th minute, Daniel Owsiak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 15-0. C.R Perhaps's Alfredo Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Medeiros in the 83rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 18-0 when Lei Feng Yan sped through C.R Perhaps's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Teles. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fully deserved thier win.
