Dorian Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glauco Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 37 minutes of play Shark FC - FSCMZ's Dedé Pimenta was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 46th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Mendebal to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Alfredo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. Glauco Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Dorian Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Shark FC - FSCMZ's Jacinto Queiroz got a free kick in the 75th minute. Moussa Kabre's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Glauco Velloso - 5-0 was put on the score board in the 76th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Marquês de Herval had played much better football throughout.
