Gu Zhan Wei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Academia Santista CIMZ defense, Albertinho Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gu Zhan Wei. The Academia Santista CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gu Zhan Wei should have stopped the shot. Sandro Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harun Eraltay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertinho Andrades short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Gu Zhan Wei to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tato Vega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnaldo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sandro Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Albertinho Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Gu Zhan Wei made a huge save. In the 27th minute of the match Que se abra o mar got a corner. Academia Santista CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lando Norin ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 34th match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Sandro Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harun Eraltay, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Lando Norin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gu Zhan Wei having to interfere. Academia Santista CIMZ made a substitution. Felipe Nerio replaced Harun Eraltay. 44 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Nerio came free, but Sandro Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Felipe Nerio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Santista CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felipe Nerio to strike the kick off in the second half. Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Eriksson in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tommy Van Elsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gu Zhan Wei was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Academia Santista CIMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Que se abra o mar.
