Willian Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. George Mbappè might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Willian Loyola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Mbappè ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Morro Grande E.C defense, George Messi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian Loyola. The Morro Grande E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Loyola should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Gunnar Ekeroth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Willian Loyola. After the first half Three Lions FC were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
