Wilbert Ugalde took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Couto. Alexandre Couto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 16 played minutes Alvi Verde got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Heidemann. 23 minutes into the match, Alvi Verde's goalkeeper Téo Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Guilherme Cunha. 25 minutes into the match, Leandro Heidemann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Couto. Beneficiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Heidemann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After having played for 30 minutes, Sidney Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beneficiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Téo Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Cunha in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Dida Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attila Kiss in the 39th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Leandro Heidemann made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Beneficiente's Alexandre Couto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Alvi Verde's Cuero Buseth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

58 minutes into the game, Alvi Verde's Leandro Heidemann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Abraão during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 played minutes Beneficiente got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Abraão. Beneficiente's Alexandre Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Heidemann in the 61st minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Leandro Heidemann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Couto. Beneficiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Heidemann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Alexandre Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Heidemann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Leandro Heidemann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvi Verde's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Heidemann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvi Verde made a substitution. Juarês Vianna replaced Cuero Buseth. When Alvi Verde's Leandro Heidemann in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Beneficiente's goalie prevented a goal. Alexandre Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês Vianna in the 74th minute of play. Alvi Verde's Leandro Heidemann got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Leandro Heidemann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
