Galo na Veia FC™'s Horácio Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Moraes in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel got control of the ball when Ferdinand Feuš tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute, Joélson Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute German Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galo na Veia FC™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Moussa Kabre was slow to take the kick. During this time Marquês de Herval's players had a chance to rest. Marquês de Herval's Jon Grøneng was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Horácio Donato in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 20 minutes into the game, Vehdi Taşkınay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galo na Veia FC™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marquês de Herval the free kick. Vehdi Taşkınay hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The supporters of Marquês de Herval booed when Galo na Veia FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Galo na Veia FC™'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Horácio Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horácio Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Wilfried Spaniol notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Cano in the 34th minute of play forced Galo na Veia FC™'s goalkeeper Horácio Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquês de Herval were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Galo na Veia FC™'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moussa Kabre took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Galo na Veia FC™'s goalie and right to Dorian Moraes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Galo na Veia FC™'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Spaniol, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Stamen Ringov hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Horácio Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Cano in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Moussa Kabre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dida Taffarel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alphonso Alaba.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Martins was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Galo na Veia FC™ getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Simon Patrido hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Alfredo Martins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Horácio Donato. The goal made the score 1-1. Horácio Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Cano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marquês de Herval were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Galo na Veia FC™'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moussa Kabre took the corner. The corner led to Marquês de Herval's Toby Major getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Horácio Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorian Moraes took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horácio Donato. Horácio Donato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. German Cano struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Horácio Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marquês de Herval. Alphonso Alaba kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Horácio Donato was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Moussa Kabre. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Alfredo Martins took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Horácio Donato to make any attempt to save it. 94 minutes into the match, Wilfried Spaniol notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Marquês de Herval left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Galo na Veia FC™.
