With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dobromir Brudnicki in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lütfi Kutlubay saved Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa from getting behind. Dagoberto Loureiro made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Chiquinho Pombal sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Percival de Souza hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Vito Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Kutlubay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dobromir Brudnicki in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lütfi Kutlubay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cöpacabana FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Talha İstanbul in the 15th minute. The corner led Cöpacabana FC's Talha İstanbul to fire away a dangerous shot which Lütfi Kutlubay despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lütfi Kutlubay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dobromir Brudnicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagoberto Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Pombal in the 20th minute of play. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Lütfi Kutlubay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dobromir Brudnicki in the 26th minute of play. Lütfi Kutlubay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dobromir Brudnicki in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Cöpacabana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Talha İstanbul to maneuver through the defense. Otávio Freitas's late challenge caught a Cöpacabana FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otávio Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Otávio Freitas hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa booed when Cöpacabana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huang Jian Feng didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Vito Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Kutlubay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Percival de Souza put in a rough tackle. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vito Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dagoberto Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zygmunt Rzegotka, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Lütfi Kutlubay got control of the ball when Talha İstanbul tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vito Leite took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lütfi Kutlubay. Lütfi Kutlubay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Claudinei Terra hit a great ball. If Talha İstanbul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lütfi Kutlubay made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Dobromir Brudnicki sent off a good shot on target. Lütfi Kutlubay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Benet, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thibault Delanoë couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cöpacabana FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
