Mundial EC's Germano Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Mundial EC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbin van Persie in the 5th minute of play forced Mundial EC's goalkeeper Germano Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Vandenberge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Senna in the 7th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Mundial EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes Mundial EC got a freekick which was hit by 潘桑昆. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lukas Stuijckens got free with Germano Moraes in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Lukas Stuijckens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germano Moraes. Mundial EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lukas Stuijckens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lennert Van der Vloedt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Germano Moraes came out and tried to block the shot, but Lennert Van der Vloedt slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Germano Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbin van Persie in the 20th minute of play. Mundial EC's Germano Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Mundial EC from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Fre Schoovaerts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germano Moraes. Mundial EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fre Schoovaerts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Robbin van Persie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Germano Moraes made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lennert Van der Vloedt came free, but Germano Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lukas Stuijckens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mundial EC's Germano Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Mundial EC from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mundial EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lennert Van der Vloedt was slow to take the kick. During this time RWDM's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th minute, Lennert Van der Vloedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Senna hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mundial EC's goalkeeper Germano Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robbin van Persie took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Germano Moraes. Germano Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Robbin van Persie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robbin van Persie was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robbin van Persie in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Germano Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 53rd minute of the match RWDM got a corner. Mundial EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lennert Van der Vloedt ran over to the corner to take the kick. 54 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lennert Van der Vloedt came free, but Germano Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germano Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbin van Persie in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Mundial EC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Erik de Alcântara hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Robbin van Persie managed to get in a good position for a shot. RWDM's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbin van Persie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Robbin van Persie came free, but Germano Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Vandenberge made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Reinaldo de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. The RWDM fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when RWDM's Robbin van Persie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 70 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lennert Van der Vloedt came free, but Germano Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, 潘桑昆 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mundial EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RWDM the free kick. The supporters of RWDM booed when Mundial EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. 潘桑昆 didn't get a good kick on the ball. RWDM's Sylvan Van der Willeghem was substituted for Robbin van Persie. After 73 played minutes Mundial EC got a freekick which was hit by 潘桑昆. Germano Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Stuijckens, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lennert Van der Vloedt came free, but Germano Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Lennert Van der Vloedt made a precise shot to the right of Germano Moraes. Mundial EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Mundial EC's Germano Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Stuijckens in the 83rd minute of play. Germano Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sylvan Van der Willeghem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sylvan Van der Willeghem's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Lukas Stuijckens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Germano Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Germano Moraes came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by RWDM's Sylvan Van der Willeghem. But to his dismay, Sylvan Van der Willeghem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. RWDM's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
