Marcial Orlandus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Soveral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Guanacos's goalkeeper Marcial Orlandus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Soveral. A collision led to Guanacos getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Arnoldo Tonete hit a great ball. Paulo Pierres got in the 24th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Laurențiu Gaciu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Angelino Clemencin kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Bruno Soveral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Orlandus. Guanacos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Soveral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 40thth minute of the game Bruno Soveral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guanacos's Marcial Orlandus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 42 minutes Guanacos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Carrasqueira who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Clemencin in the 45th minute of play forced Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ian Van Den Driessche's late challenge caught a Guanacos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ian Van Den Driessche helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Guanacos booed when Exército Português was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Van Den Driessche didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Exército Português's zone, Angelino Clemencin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurențiu Gaciu came out of the goal and Angelino Clemencin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Pierres made a kick off. Laurențiu Gaciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Librado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guanacos's Marcial Orlandus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Soveral in the 58th minute of play. Marcial Orlandus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Orlandus came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Bruno Soveral. But to his dismay, Bruno Soveral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marcial Orlandus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Soveral in the 68th minute of the match. With his leg Laurențiu Gaciu managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Guanacos's Paulo Pierres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcial Orlandus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Meireles in the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Pierres got free with Laurențiu Gaciu in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
