After 5 minutes of play, Olivedos's Abel de Godoi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alejandro Verdu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bubu Denat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Yuri da Cunha made a huge save. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gonzalo Boye in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Abel de Godoi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Alejandro Verdu. Alejandro Verdu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Bubu Denat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yuri da Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Vianna came free, but Alejandro Verdu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olivedos's Yuri da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marino Ramos in the 28th minute of play. Alejandro Verdu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Vianna in the 30th minute of play. Bubu Denat's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Yuri da Cunha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Marino Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's supporters rose to their feet, but Marino Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yuri da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olivedos's Yuri da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. Yuri da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Boye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA got a freekick which was hit by Joan Puig. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bubu Denat was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Marino Ramos came free, but Yuri da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuri da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Boye, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubinho Chaves during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Olivedos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! Bubu Denat shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Boye in the 61st minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Yuri da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Boye in the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Olivedos's zone, Bubu Denat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri da Cunha came out of the goal and Bubu Denat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Olivedos booed when F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesc Pla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisinho Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olivedos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
