Len Springer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Orlondon having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Kyle Whitmore recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eulalio Orlondon. Kyle Whitmore showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bernardino Lixandro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Lind read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Grosse Pointe Farms got a freekick which was hit by Diego Thorne. When Ubaldo Bastiaro came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Yacanto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Bastiaro couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Edgard Muc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yacanto FC's Eulalio Orlondon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Len Springer in the 24th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Ubaldo Bastiaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yacanto FC and the Grosse Pointe Farms players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Ubaldo Bastiaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Muc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Lind read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. When Serafin Fernendo fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yacanto FC's protests and gave Serafin Fernendo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Serafin Fernendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Len Springer in the 39th minute really tested Eulalio Orlondon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Benito Lind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Bastiaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Len Springer in the 52nd minute of play forced Yacanto FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Orlondon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yacanto FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
