Grosse Pointe Farms's Len Springer got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ildefonso Mateus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Lind came out and tried to block the shot, but Ildefonso Mateus slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Kyle Whitmore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grosse Pointe Farms's supporters rose to their feet, but Kyle Whitmore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Tulio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Len Springer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Benicio Tulio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kyle Whitmore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 14 minutes into the game, Amadeo Salamon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Lind. Amadeo Salamon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Thanh Rhoades made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Puerta de hierro FC's Francisco Mogel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ildefonso Mateus got free with Benito Lind in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ildefonso Mateus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Puerta de hierro FC's Ildefonso Mateus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Lind made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Jordan Moses charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordan Moses the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benicio Tulio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Len Springer went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute, Len Springer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Len Springer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benicio Tulio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Len Springer in the 57th minute of the match. If Amadeo Salamon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ildefonso Mateus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Benito Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Puerta de hierro FC booed when Grosse Pointe Farms was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan Moses didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute Len Springer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Tulio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Puerta de hierro FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Montxo. In the 70thth minute of the game Len Springer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Puerta de hierro FC's Benicio Tulio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Puerta de hierro FC's Amadeo Salamon got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Len Springer in the 76th minute of play forced Puerta de hierro FC's goalkeeper Benicio Tulio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Puerta de hierro FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Silvio Montxo hit a great ball. The Puerta de hierro FC fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Puerta de hierro FC's Amadeo Salamon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ildefonso Mateus might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Lind. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildefonso Mateus ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the match, Grosse Pointe Farms's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Mateus came free, but Benito Lind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benicio Tulio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Len Springer's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Len Springer succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Puerta de hierro FC had won after a very even match.
