In the 18th match minute, Iliuta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Botgros to maneuver through the defense. When Dorel Burdujan fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iliuta FC's protests and gave Dorel Burdujan a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Iliuta FC got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Burdujan. In the 21st minute of the game Sandu Duca made a throw-in which Codrin Braniște played forward. Benito Lind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristi Gaiță, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Tanner Vance hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Dinu Băieșu got a throw-in 26 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sandu Duca. A collision led to Grosse Pointe Farms getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cedric Ledbetter hit a great ball. The supporters of Grosse Pointe Farms booed when Iliuta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Muncelean didn't get a good kick on the ball.
