The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Arsenal Tunari's goal looked a bit too open when Xeromo Bascal came free, but Eliodor Mardarescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Garrapato's Denis Cuello tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Ximun Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Xerardo Durazno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garrapato's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal Tunari the free kick. Xerardo Durazno hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Ximun Toro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arsenal Tunari's Eliodor Mardarescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximun Toro in the 20th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Arsenal Tunari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Zberea to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xeromo Bascal in the 21st minute of play forced Arsenal Tunari's goalkeeper Eliodor Mardarescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Adam Cotuțiu fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal Tunari's protests and gave Adam Cotuțiu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Garrapato booed when Arsenal Tunari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Cotuțiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xeromo Bascal struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Eliodor Mardarescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garrapato. The audience was convinced that Xeromo Bascal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliodor Mardarescu was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Petre Pânzaru's late challenge caught a Garrapato's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petre Pânzaru helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Arsenal Tunari getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Petre Pânzaru hit a great ball. Eliodor Mardarescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ximun Toro's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Ximun Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Petre Pânzaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 minutes of play, Garrapato's Xeromo Bascal made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliodor Mardarescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute Xeromo Bascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliodor Mardarescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliodor Mardarescu came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Garrapato's Ximun Toro. But to his dismay, Ximun Toro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Marin Asachi charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marin Asachi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Arsenal Tunari:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Garrapato:s goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Xeromo Bascal got free with Eliodor Mardarescu in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Arsenal Tunari's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Xeromo Bascal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ximun Toro in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliodor Mardarescu saved Arsenal Tunari from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Arsenal Tunari's Mădălin Zberea got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Eliodor Mardarescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximun Toro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. A hard shot 64 in the game by Ximun Toro from a close distance when the talented Eliodor Mardarescu managed to make a qualified save. Arsenal Tunari's players were relieved. Xeromo Bascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Eliodor Mardarescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xeromo Bascals short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Eliodor Mardarescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 71st minute Ximun Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliodor Mardarescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ximun Toro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliodor Mardarescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximun Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 80 minutes, Xeromo Bascal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garrapato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xeromo Bascal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliodor Mardarescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ximun Toro in the 84th minute of the match. Xeromo Bascal might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliodor Mardarescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xeromo Bascal ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Garrapato booed when Arsenal Tunari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petre Pânzaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Eliodor Mardarescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Garrapato players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
