The audience was convinced that Daniel Semeghin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helder Bachicabo was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The Arsenal Tunari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliodor Mardarescu should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. Eliodor Mardarescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jayanquillo had won after a very even match.
