A collision led to Bulgaria getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Deyan Petrinski hit a great ball. Michel Preudhomme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tzvetan Mudrov in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdellatif Benkhirane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Morocco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Stanislav Búlgarov scored to the left of an out of position Michel Preudhomme, making the score, 0-2. After having played for 57 minutes, Stanislav Búlgarov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bulgaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanislav Búlgarov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bulgaria's Parvan Dakelov was substituted for Tzvetan Mudrov. Ziyad Khlifi's late challenge caught a Bulgaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ziyad Khlifi helped the player get up and apologised. Ziyad Khlifi kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Stanislav Georgiev scored 0-4 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michel Preudhomme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michel Preudhomme was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Stanislav Georgiev capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stanislav Georgiev really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Morocco's Michel Preudhomme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lachezar Kavaldzhiev in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Morocco's Michel Preudhomme got control of the ball when Parvan Dakelov tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Parvan Dakelov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michel Preudhomme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6.
