In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Wei Bing Ran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match England got a corner. Real Chelsea's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kristian Markham ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Kai Havertz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wei Bing Ran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Frank Frankfurter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Thorne, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Wei Bing Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Rigg in the 20th minute of the match. If Gus Weir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, England's goal looked a bit too open when Gus Weir came free, but Frank Frankfurter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Frankfurter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gus Weir went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When England's Kai Havertz in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Chelsea's goalie prevented a goal. After 37 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Lucas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Stockton in the 43rd minute of play forced Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Wei Bing Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. England's Garth Stockton got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Kai Havertz made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Marty Driver. The audience was convinced that Kai Havertz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wei Bing Ran was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. When Garth Stockton came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the England fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garth Stockton couldn't finish the play. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garth Stockton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. William Rigg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Wei Bing Ran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kai Havertz struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Wei Bing Ran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for England. Wei Bing Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Rigg in the 74th minute of the match. Dustin Schellander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frank Frankfurter having to make a save. Real Chelsea's Ian Sykes was substituted for Stu Bullock. In the 81st minute Kai Havertz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wei Bing Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers William Rigg in the 83rd managed to get into a good position.
