Orestis Lazarou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Castro in the 9th minute of the match. The corner led Floresta Club U18's Ruy da Rocha to fire away a dangerous shot which Orestis Lazarou despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 15 played minutes Floresta Club U18 got a freekick which was hit by Remo da Rocha. Léo de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charly Rusterholz in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Floresta Club U18's zone, Charly Rusterholz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léo de Brito came out of the goal and Charly Rusterholz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goal looked a bit too open when Rick de Zee came free, but Léo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Gilmar Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Orestis Lazarou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Orestis Lazarou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Rondo's Arnout Arends ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Léo de Brito. Léo de Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 35th minute Rick de Zee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rondo booed when Floresta Club U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Rick de Zee sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Floresta Club U18's Léo de Brito didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Floresta Club U18's Gilmar Castro got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Jacco Hekman put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Léo de Brito. Roeland Hoogendorp's late challenge caught a Floresta Club U18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Floresta Club U18's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruy da Rocha was slow to take the kick. During this time Floresta Club U18's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ruy da Rocha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rondo's Orestis Lazarou did a great save. Léo de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacco Hekman in the 94th minute of play. Léo de Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacco Hekman went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.
