Lizardi Montanez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Santotis to make the kick off. During this time Sporting Chilcano's players had a chance to rest. 62 minutes into the match, Lancaster City's Afonso Moco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lizardi Montanez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Armando Santotis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nito Cruz was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. With a little luck, Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez got control of the ball when Afonso Moco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Sporting Chilcano's goalkeeper Lizardi Montanez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Moco. Lancaster City were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Sporting Chilcano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lopo Apalanga took the corner. Sporting Chilcano were furious when Fidele Gadea was red carded, 83 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Egoi Lizarazu scored 7-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nito Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Moco got free with Lizardi Montanez in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute Heli Monsalve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nito Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lalla Bernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Nito Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Sporting Chilcano were the better team. Sporting Chilcano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
