With his leg Oriche Vega managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Stars's Jonathan Siong fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th minute of the match, Jonathan Siong tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oriche Vega saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 28th minute Gennadiy Demyanenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muhammad Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Muhammad Chan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Demyanenko in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Stars's zone, Roman Serdyuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Muhammad Chan came out of the goal and Roman Serdyuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, Krasnodar FC's goalkeeper Oriche Vega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Siong. Muhammad Chan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Serdyuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dmitriy Makarov fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Krasnodar FC's protests and gave Dmitriy Makarov a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Krasnodar FC got a freekick which was hit by Dmitriy Makarov. 45 minutes into the match, Krasnodar FC's goalkeeper Oriche Vega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernt Willig. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Siong in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After 72 minutes, Radomir Kosowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stars and the Krasnodar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rdth minute of the game Rudy Chandran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Krasnodar FC's Oriche Vega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
