With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uno Mattsson in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Ekrot saved Vykans Vikingar from getting behind. Rıza Vuralhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mats Hermansson went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Argyris Papapetrou came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Strömsbro IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Argyris Papapetrou couldn't finish the play. When Vykans Vikingar's Leonardo Trancoso, in the 16th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Vykans Vikingar. Lukas Hallgren hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Berart in the 19th minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Rıza Vuralhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Argyris Papapetrou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rıza Vuralhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Hermansson in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Uno Mattsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Ekrot. Vykans Vikingar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uno Mattsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Vykans Vikingar's Mats Hermansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rıza Vuralhan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 37th minute Leonardo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıza Vuralhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Argyris Papapetrou. Marcus Ekrot made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Argyris Papapetrou sent off a good shot on target. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Vykans Vikingar from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Mats Hermansson made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Argyris Papapetrou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strömsbro IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Argyris Papapetrou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Ekrot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Tage Glanselius replaced Hugo Eden. Strömsbro IF's Uno Mattsson got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Mutumba got free with Rıza Vuralhan in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonardo Trancoso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Rıza Vuralhan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Argyris Papapetrou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argyris Papapetrou in the 71st minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rıza Vuralhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Jose Indalecio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rıza Vuralhan. Jose Indalecio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Vykans Vikingar left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Strömsbro IF.
