Brazilio Butt came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Svartvallstjärnens IF's Jan-Erik Carlsson. But to his dismay, Jan-Erik Carlsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Jan-Erik Carlsson came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Svartvallstjärnens IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Erik Carlsson couldn't finish the play. Jan-Erik Carlsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brazilio Butt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Svartvallstjärnens IF were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after DIF LEEDS BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Björn Andberg took the corner. The corner ended in Karl-Åke Vestlund almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but DIF LEEDS BK's Brazilio Butt did a great save. A nice corner shot did that Jan-Erik Carlsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Brazilio Butt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 1-2 became the score in the 33rd minute when Jan-Erik Carlsson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Linus Ahlquist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Brazilio Butt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Ljusberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of Svartvallstjärnens IF booed when DIF LEEDS BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Verhoeven didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Svartvallstjärnens IF's Linus Ahlquist got control of the ball when Ulf Nordlander tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerry Jonasson in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Linus Ahlquist saved Svartvallstjärnens IF from getting behind.

The Svartvallstjärnens IF fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Svartvallstjärnens IF's Ulf Säf looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Svartvallstjärnens IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Svartvallstjärnens IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
