Olov Wahlnäs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Tunström in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Per Tunström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rönnöfors FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Magne Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Keegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. One of Skövde AIK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rönnöfors FF:s goal. Olov Wahlnäs went to the wrong direction when Henry Fagerberg was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The audience was convinced that Hjalmar Hägert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Magne Gunnarsson was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Biörnberg in the 35th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rönnöfors FF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Skövde AIK.
