Kristoffer Västerstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Mutumba, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Vykans Vikingar's Fernan Berart quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 27th minute, Vykans Vikingar's Fernan Berart ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kristoffer Västerstrand. In the 35th minute Adam Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Lindqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Mårtensson to strike the kick off in the second half. Stefan Bogren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Andreas Lindqvist made a huge save. 54 minutes into the match, Leonardo Trancoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristoffer Västerstrand. Lidköping's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Trancoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 56th match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Glanselius to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Bogren in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Lindqvist saved Vykans Vikingar from getting behind. After 61 played minutes Lidköping got a freekick which was hit by Dariusz Puchlik. Andreas Lindqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Björk, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Vykans Vikingar's Andreas Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Bogren in the 70th minute of play. Orvar Moberg made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Allan Björk immediately put the ball in play. Kristoffer Västerstrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Revis in the 75th minute of the match. Anthony Eadie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Lindqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Mårtensson in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Bengt-Arne Haglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristoffer Västerstrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Dariusz Puchlik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lidköping's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vykans Vikingar the free kick. After 85 played minutes Lidköping got a freekick which was hit by Dariusz Puchlik. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 88th minute of play forced Lidköping's goalkeeper Kristoffer Västerstrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Souza to maneuver through the defense. Lidköping's Kristoffer Västerstrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lidköping had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
