Chen Ao Fan started the match with the kick off. Kurt Hamrin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Anders Lundqvist made a huge save. Olov Wahlnäs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Durazno, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Bebben Johansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 12 minutes, Bebben Johansson made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Loco Durazno struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Olov Wahlnäs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Lions FC. Thanks to some nice moves Kevin Keegan could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Anders Lundqvist however easily saved by the left post. 0-3 became the score in the 23rd minute when Loco Durazno elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 26th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Loco Durazno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olov Wahlnäs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Durazno in the 38th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Durazno came free, but Olov Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebben Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loco Durazno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Wahlnäs having to interfere. The Skövde AIK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Golden Lions FC were winning 0-4.

Olov Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebben Johansson in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs got control of the ball when Loco Durazno tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 55 minutes Skövde AIK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Georg Termander who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Loco Durazno at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Skövde AIK. 0-5. Loco Durazno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Olov Wahlnäs made a huge save. Golden Lions FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Skövde AIK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Georg Termander took the corner. Golden Lions FC's Arne Tönnberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olov Wahlnäs in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Loco Durazno in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olov Wahlnäs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Krister Uggstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams was substituted for Chen Ao Fan. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Burç Tokhan replaced Loco Durazno. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Krister Uggstedt got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Burç Tokhan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Olov Wahlnäs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Arne Tönnberg hit a great ball. If Burç Tokhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Burç Tokhan. 82 minutes into the match, Burç Tokhan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Olov Wahlnäs, 0-7. 85 minutes into the game, Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olov Wahlnäs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Olov Wahlnäs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Burç Tokhan went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burç Tokhan in the 94th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Golden Lions FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Golden Lions FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
