When spikarna's Kaj Hård in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saga TF's goalie prevented a goal. Saga TF were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after spikarna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Billy Backman took the corner. Lars Norberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Cantona in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atakan Pepe in the 16th minute of play forced Saga TF's goalkeeper Joachim Forseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Saga TF's Erik Cantona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lars Norberg. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Erik Cantona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Lars Norberg made a huge save. Erik Cantona might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Norberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Cantona ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, Erik Cantona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lars Norberg, 2-0. After a rather tough play, spikarna's Witomir Ziomkowski got a free kick in the 29th minute. Erik Cantona came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lars Norberg could save by the left post. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Nordkvist in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Rickard Alefors was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. spikarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saga TF the free kick. Lars Norberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Cantona in the 41st minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kaj Hård made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaj Hård got free with Joachim Forseth in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Nordkvist in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Saga TF's Joachim Forseth got control of the ball when Atakan Pepe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lars Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 62nd minute of play forced spikarna's goalkeeper Lars Norberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaj Hård in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joachim Forseth, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rickard Alefors kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Erik Cantona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saga TF's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Cantona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Norberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arne Botnen hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Joachim Forseth was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Birger Bergström. Saga TF's Joachim Forseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Hård in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in spikarna's zone, Arne Botnen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Norberg came out of the goal and Arne Botnen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erik Cantona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witomir Ziomkowski in the 87th minute of play. Lars Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cantona in the 88th minute of play. After 90 minutes spikarna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Billy Backman who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Billy Backman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lars Norberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
