The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sture Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Lars Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SJÖARED's Kaj Ekegren got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 8 minutes of play, spikarna's Sune Offendahl made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adrian Springfält was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, spikarna's Lars Norberg got control of the ball when Sture Göransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SJÖARED's Gunnar Hellström got a free kick in the 17th minute. Adrian Springfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Hård in the 20th minute of play. Adrian Springfält took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Nordkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Sven Nordkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Springfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sture Göransson in the 28th minute of the match. Lars Norberg was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Sture Göransson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sture Göransson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sture Göransson in the 40th minute of play forced spikarna's goalkeeper Lars Norberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vilhelm Lidman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 46th match minute, spikarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sune Offendahl to maneuver through the defense. Lars Norberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Roger Bålström.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaj Hård stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of spikarna booed when SJÖARED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. 董云夕 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Springfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Hård in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Sture Göransson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vilhelm Lidman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SJÖARED's Isak Qvarnström was substituted for Vilhelm Lidman. SJÖARED's Urban Rudberg was substituted for Sture Göransson. With an all-out effort, spikarna's Adrian Springfält threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sven Nordkvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind spikarna's goalkeeper Lars Norberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roger Bålström kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SJÖARED's zone, Atakan Pepe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Springfält came out of the goal and Atakan Pepe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
