Kaj Hård scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens-Åke Källberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lars Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torgny Landin in the 15th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Jan Höijer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lars Norberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. spikarna's Lars Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torgny Landin in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when spikarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sune Offendahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Torgny Landin notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of spikarna's Lars Norberg. Lars Norberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Boca Juniors's Per-Åke Lundberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sune Offendahl, made in the 27th minute of the game. In the 31st minute Atakan Pepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Källberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Atakan Pepe came free, but Jens-Åke Källberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Boca Juniors's Torgny Landin in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye spikarna's goalie prevented a goal. Lars Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42ndth minute of the game Torgny Landin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but spikarna's Lars Norberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Boca Juniors made a substitution. Julian Beturian replaced Jan Höijer. Boca Juniors's Jiang Xuan Nan was substituted for Niklas Kjellberg. Sune Offendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, spikarna's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Landin came free, but Lars Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the spikarna defense, Torgny Landin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars Norberg. The spikarna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars Norberg should have stopped the shot. Lars Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerd Della, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boca Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Per-Åke Lundberg in the 85th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of spikarna's goalie and right to Vilhelm Holm. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. spikarna's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Torgny Landin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but spikarna's Lars Norberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lars Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torgny Landin in the 92nd minute of the match. Lars Norberg came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Gerd Della. But to his dismay, Gerd Della quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Lars Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Beturian in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Boca Juniors were the better team. Boca Juniors's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
