When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristian Koehler sped through União Verde FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Paulão Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ligeiro F.C's protests and gave Paulão Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Paulão Godoi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Leite in the 24th minute of play. Cristian Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Pérez having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, União Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Renato Romero hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ligeiro F.C's zone, Mathias Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeferson de Queirós came out of the goal and Mathias Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Paulão Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias Pirani got free with Jeferson de Queirós in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Mathias Pirani made the kick off in the second half. União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Leite in the 51st minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Inácio Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Haroldo Marinho hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Valdir Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Mathias Pirani charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathias Pirani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mathias Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Ramalho in the 74th minute of play. Ligeiro F.C's Jeferson de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Pirani in the 75th minute of play. If Cristian Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez got control of the ball when Cristian Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Pirani in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeferson de Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Gilvan Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Cristian Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Dorival Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
