An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Lopes in the 15th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Jan Figlewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when Niculae Martinescu came free, but Jan Figlewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 庄辉雄's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Abutres 2003 FDP's Jan Figlewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Martinescu in the 26th minute of play. If Roberto Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 庄辉雄 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
