Tato Vega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdir Pérez having to make a save. Valdir Pérez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tato Vega's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, União Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Marques to maneuver through the defense. When Que se abra o mar's Tato Vega in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loco Orange was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Tato Vega made a precise shot to the right of Valdir Pérez. União Verde FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Que se abra o mar made a substitution. Albertinho Andrade replaced Hayrullah Atikoğlu. Sandro Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Lara in the 64th minute of play. Tato Vega could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Valdir Pérez made a huge save. If Lando Norin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, União Verde FC's Agnaldo Tinoco got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Loco Orange's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdir Pérez was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Albertinho Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdir Pérez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Albertinho Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Valdir Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Que se abra o mar's Ivar Eriksson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdir Pérez. That made the score 0-8 after 88 minutes of play. Valdir Pérez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albertinho Andrade in the 91st minute. 96 minutes into the match, Ivar Eriksson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valdir Pérez, 0-9. When the final whistle sounded Que se abra o mar left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than União Verde FC.
