With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovani Medeiros in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raí Bertassi saved 27 de Mayo from getting behind. Raí Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Geovani Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Owsiak succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 28th playminute. That made the score 5-0 in the 40 minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Renato Augusto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Augusto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Daniel Owsiak made a precise shot to the right of Raí Bertassi. 27 de Mayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Renato Augusto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

In the 55thth minute of the game Geovani Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 27 de Mayo's Raí Bertassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renato Augusto struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Raí Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul.
