But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeusz Dziechciowski couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Sakura Storm's Maurício Almeida threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tadeusz Dziechciowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vítor Fontão scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zakir Novruzov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sakura Storm's Zakir Novruzov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Polido in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Sakura Storm getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Severino Carriedo hit a great ball. João Carlos Teive hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Sakura Storm's Tadeusz Dziechciowski suffered a sore thigh after 48 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 48 minutes into the game, Luís Caneças was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cheadle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sakura Storm the free kick. Sakura Storm made a substitution. Rufio Cieza replaced Tadeusz Dziechciowski. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Polido made a kick off. If Rufio Cieza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Jacinto got free with Zakir Novruzov in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Cheadle's João Carlos Teive got a free kick in the 80th minute. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by João Carlos Teive with Rui Areosa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Maurício Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rufio Cieza in the 85th minute of the match. Rufio Cieza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
