Rambo Ramírez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lei Feng Yan's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 10 minutes, Lei Feng Yan made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Colo-Colo's Rambo Ramírez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lucio Siekkötter ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rambo Ramírez. Rambo Ramírez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Colo-Colo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Lucio Siekkötter scored to the left of an out of position Rambo Ramírez, making the score, 3-0. Colo-Colo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Lei Feng Yan scored to the left of an out of position Rambo Ramírez, making the score, 4-0. Lucio Siekkötter struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Rambo Ramírez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubén Martínez to make the kick off. Carlitos Caszely could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Aurelio Walme made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Colo-Colo's Chano Garrido got a free kick in the 68th minute. Colo-Colo's Ivo Basay was substituted for Rubén Martínez. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Chano Garrido hit a great ball. With a little luck, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme got control of the ball when Carlitos Caszely tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colo-Colo made a substitution. José Julio Almeida replaced Marco-Antonio Etcheverry. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlitos Caszely in the 85th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Aurelio Walme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Walme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Droguett in the 88th minute of the match. Aurelio Walme made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Carlitos Caszely sent off a good shot on target. Rambo Ramírez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 92nd minute of the match. Rambo Ramírez came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan. But to his dismay, Lei Feng Yan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Colo-Colo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
