The supporters of Zlatan BK booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Ugutz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubaldo Padro in the 17th minute. Patricio Ugutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesare Maestri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Zlatan BK were awarded a corner. Per Hägglund went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalie and right to Danell Mackiathan. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Barcellos Mineiro FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dale Dolar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ellis Schenck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Radul Kokalov hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Ellis Schenck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dale Dolar's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Dale Dolar might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ellis Schenck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dale Dolar ran back to his position shaking his head. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute Ubaldo Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match, Dale Dolar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ellis Schenck was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Guo Qian in the 60th minute of play. Zlatan BK made a substitution. Karl-Oskar Kinnman replaced Danell Mackiathan. Zlatan BK's Albert Linberg was substituted for Cesare Maestri. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Jorge Carrascal was substituted for Marcos Fantini. Jorge Carrascal got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wambasther Robben. Ellis Schenck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Barcellos Mineiro FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barcellos Mineiro FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
