The GTV Ostsee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Kugler should have stopped the shot. After 13 played minutes GTV Ostsee got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Vimaro. GTV Ostsee's Karl Kugler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tytus Banaszak in the 15th minute of play. Karl Kugler came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Zamalek FC's Fred Kirkpatrick. But to his dismay, Fred Kirkpatrick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Karl Kugler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chunche Montero in the 29th minute of the match. Karl Kugler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reese Otto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Godfredo De la Torre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes of play, Zamalek FC's Tytus Banaszak made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
