Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Söderqvist in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Söderqvist in the 23rd minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Söderqvist came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Mugurel Balaeț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhang Chang Yang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Vallengren didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daron Joseph made a kick off. Valdomiro Teixeira replaced Sandrinho Machado. Zamalek FC's Elin Elin was substituted for Zack Grier. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gergely Bollobás in the 66th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.C. Ferrari's Zhang Chang Yang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reese Otto in the 70th minute of play. Zhang Chang Yang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daron Joseph, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gergely Bollobás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rhys Dimmock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reese Otto kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Zamalek FC's Fred Kirkpatrick was substituted for Reese Otto.
