In the 15th match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Llorian to maneuver through the defense. When Northern California's Jonathan Bernaldo in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 31st minute, Gustavo Isazi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lajos Toldi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Augusto Froila kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Lajos Toldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Chorche in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36thth minute of the game Gustavo Isazi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Millonarios's Lajos Toldi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lajos Toldi having to interfere. The supporters of Northern California booed when Millonarios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Matteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Chorche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lajos Toldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Northern California's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Abancens came free, but David Schembri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gustavo Isazi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavio Phelipe to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Northern California's Gustavo Isazi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lajos Toldi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 52 minutes, Leandro Chorche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northern California's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Chorche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute Gustavo Isazi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Toldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilano Matteo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Gustavo Isazi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Lajos Toldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lajos Toldi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Northern California. With a little luck, Millonarios's Lajos Toldi got control of the ball when Gustavo Isazi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Gustavo Isazi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Millonarios's Lajos Toldi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Northern California's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Froila came free, but David Schembri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Millonarios's goalkeeper Lajos Toldi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Northern California's David Schembri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Froila in the 85th minute of play. Northern California's Gustavo Isazi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 89th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Dante Taurino kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Northern California eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
