Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Capibaribe Stars's Daniel Sousa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Netto in the 4th minute of play forced Red John S.K's goalkeeper Cássio Corinth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Capibaribe Stars were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Red John S.K's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atalay Turkay took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Albino Gaskon managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jakue Llave kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Capibaribe Stars's attentive Albino Gaskon managed to snatch the ball when Jakue Llave made a throw-in in the 10th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the game, Daniel Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cássio Corinth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute, Daniel Sousa made a precise shot to the right of Cássio Corinth. Red John S.K's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 23 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's Daniel Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cássio Corinth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cássio Corinth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute, Red John S.K's Ingvar Strand dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Cássio Corinth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Sousa in the 39th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Sousa in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cássio Corinth saved Red John S.K from getting behind. Caetano Reyo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When Atalay Turkay came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Capibaribe Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atalay Turkay couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ingvar Strand made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Ingvar Strand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Sousa walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Red John S.K's Sebastian Bach was substituted for Ingvar Strand. 60 minutes into the match, Red John S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Sousa came free, but Cássio Corinth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Bach in the 62nd minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Daniel Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Corinth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74thth minute of the game Henrique Ramalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Sousa got free with Cássio Corinth in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cássio Corinth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Red John S.K's Cássio Corinth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Sousa in the 79th minute of play. Daniel Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Sousa in the 83rd minute of play forced Red John S.K's goalkeeper Cássio Corinth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Albino Gaskon got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Daniel Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Capibaribe Stars players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
