Walmyr Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Loyola in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Toby Major got a free kick in the 17th minute. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Loyola in the 18th minute of play. Juventus EC's Bilbo Arzube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Cano in the 25th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 93 minutes of play, Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bilbo Arzube was left in no man's land by his defense there!
