Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Alagoano in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Ekrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Raphael Cunha got a free kick in the 9th minute. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Mutumba. 12 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Arne Haglund came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Seaman made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Martin Mutumba sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Alagoano in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Ekrot saved Vykans Vikingar from getting behind. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Zé Carlos Monteiro got a free kick in the 37th minute. Mats Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vykans Vikingar's Mats Hermansson got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Jenipapo SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Mats Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Mutumba in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Börje Kämpe threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vykans Vikingar's Leonardo Trancoso quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Zé Carlos Monteiro hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
