An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 6th minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Patricio Ugutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gu Zhan Cheng made in the 10th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Deilmison van Basten. Vitor Beckenbauer kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Amílton Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amílton Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Patricio Ugutz in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Barcellos Mineiro FC defense, Deilmison van Basten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patricio Ugutz. The Barcellos Mineiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patricio Ugutz should have stopped the shot. Deilmison van Basten struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Patricio Ugutz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATHLETICO PRaiano. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th play minute Deilmison van Basten came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Patricio Ugutz. 2-0. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gu Zhan Cheng hit a great ball. Patricio Ugutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute of the match ATHLETICO PRaiano got a corner. Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Unax Mudarra ran over to the corner to take the kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deilmison van Basten to make the kick off. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 57th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Patricio Ugutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barcellos Mineiro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Unax Mudarra was slow to take the kick. During this time ATHLETICO PRaiano's players had a chance to rest. Rodriguinho Sousa made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Dale Dolar sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Deilmison van Basten managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Deilmison van Basten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Ugutz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Dale Dolar sped through ATHLETICO PRaiano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Carlos-Henrique Casemiro replaced Tião Paraíba. In the 72nd minute, Gaétan Govou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Abelardo Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Unax Mudarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Fantini came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Denílson Magalhães hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Jorge Carrascal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodriguinho Sousa, 3-2. With a little luck, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa got control of the ball when Jorge Carrascal tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barcellos Mineiro FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ATHLETICO PRaiano.
