An unexpectedly hard shot by Unax Mudarra in the 9th minute of play forced Red John S.K's goalkeeper Cássio Corinth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cássio Corinth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 20th minute Ingvar Strand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Ramalho got free with Rodriguinho Sousa in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Isa Günyol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute of the match, Ingvar Strand tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute Red John S.K were awarded a corner. Denílson Lopes went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Denílson Lopes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa did a great save. In the 42nd minute of the game Erubiel Valery made a throw-in which Deilmison van Basten played forward. Jakue Llave charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jakue Llave the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jakue Llave kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Red John S.K's Cássio Corinth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 47th minute of play. After the first half ATHLETICO PRaiano were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ingvar Strand made the kick off in the second half. Erubiel Valery made in the 54th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Deilmison van Basten however managed to control. With a little luck, Red John S.K's Cássio Corinth got control of the ball when Deilmison van Basten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gu Zhan Cheng made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Heitor Maldini. In the 69th minute Isa Günyol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Corinth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodriguinho Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Bach's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute Sebastian Bach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Red John S.K supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ATHLETICO PRaiano's performance. The match ended with a win for ATHLETICO PRaiano.
