The ball had pretty good speed, but Samuel Santos firmly grabbed it by the left post. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after La Società Sport Osasco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elpidio Francis took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Elpidio Francis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Samuel Santos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, La Società Sport Osasco's Dudu Moreno got a free kick in the 18th minute. Emil Wincek might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Branislav Velchevski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emil Wincek ran back to his position shaking his head. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Wincek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Francis to make the kick off. Mustafa Ali Cansoy's late challenge caught a La Società Sport Osasco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some careless play in the La Società Sport Osasco defense, André Monclús kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Santos. The La Società Sport Osasco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Santos should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the La Società Sport Osasco players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
