The supporters of Vykans Vikingar booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Trancoso came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Esteban Iztal got a free kick in the 12th minute. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Eden in the 35th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Eden in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branislav Velchevski saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Mutumba in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcus Ekrot. Marcus Ekrot yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After the first half Vykans Vikingar were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Francis to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Marcus Ekrot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Abdi Revis replaced Hugo Eden. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. André Monclús replaced Elpidio Francis. If Leonardo Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Berart in the 72nd minute of play. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Monclús in the 80th minute of the match. Abdi Revis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Branislav Velchevski made a huge save. A collision led to Vykans Vikingar getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Börje Stål hit a great ball. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Bengt-Arne Haglund replaced Martin Mutumba. In the 84th minute, Börje Stål hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Ekrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Monclús's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. André Monclús spun around in front of the goal 86 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Vykans Vikingar's goal. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Mustafa Ali Cansoy in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vykans Vikingar's Börje Stål. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Monclús in the 93rd minute of play. Vykans Vikingar were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA to leave the ground with a draw.
