Aníbal Alagoano started the match with the kick off. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. David Seaman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 10th minute of the match. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Cunha in the 11th minute of play. Elpidio Francis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Seaman having to make a save. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 21st minute of play. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Junior came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Junior in the 26th minute of play. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 30 minutes, Vinicio Junior made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35thth minute of the game Aníbal Alagoano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Jenipapo SC fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jenipapo SC! David Seaman had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Elpidio Francis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Elpidio Francis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving David Seaman. That made the score 1-2 in the 46 minute of play.

ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Branislav Velchevski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinicio Junior in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branislav Velchevski saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. Branislav Velchevski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 59th minute. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Măcriș, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Genaro Mercurio kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Jenipapo SC's Arsenio Gipuzkoa tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Cunha in the 69th minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Monclús, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Junior in the 79th minute of play. André Monclús took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Seaman. David Seaman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 86 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Alagoano came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branislav Velchevski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vinicio Junior showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 88 minute of play. In the 96th minute, Arsenio Gipuzkoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Măcriș came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jenipapo SC played a much better game than ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA and deserved their victory. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
